Invitation: Multi-stakeholder forum on Addressing Hate Speech through Education/Forum multipartite: Lutter contre les discours de haine par l’éducation

In support of the Strategy and Plan of Action on Hate Speech, UNESCO, in collaboration with the United Nations Office on the Prevention of Genocide and the Responsibility to Protect (OSAPG), is preparing to convene a ‘Global Education Ministers Conference and Multi-stakeholder Forum on addressing hate speech through education’ (on 30 September – 1st October the Forum and 26 October 2021 the Ministerial Conference) that will be preceded by a series of global initiatives and consultations.

Registration to the event is on a first-come first-served basis and we encourage interested participants to register on the Forum platform (https://venue.events-nextechar.com/landing?show=UNESCO) in advance.

To complement our team, SEAMEO SEN is delighted to announce our Call for Resident Experts from September 30 to October 30, 2021.

This opportunity will open doors to individuals with knowledge, skills and experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) to be appointed as our resident experts;

  • in providing platform to train educators and administrators from Southeast Asia Regions
  • in supporting the research advancements on knowledge of SEN
  • in identifying and expanding the existing practices, programs or policies associated with SEN.

Resident experts are NOT hired permanently and will only receive honorarium based on training programmes as per letter of appointment

To celebrate the values of teachers on the World Teachers’ Day 5 October 2021 during this pandemic, the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO) invites Southeast Asian teachers to join the SEAMEO Innovative Teaching Festival for celebrating the 2021 World Teachers’ Day under the theme ‘Teachers at the Heart of Education Recovery’.

‘Teachers at the Heart of Education Recovery’ We are looking for innovative teachers to share your zero-investment innovative and practical ideas for successful recovery, resilience-building, and reimagining education in the post-pandemic world.
Be a part of the SEAMEO Innovative Teaching Festival by submitting a video clip of 5 minutes in mp4 format according to the theme by 30 September 2021.
