The Strategic Planning & Communication Division (SPCD) has been established in line with the SEAMEO SEN transformation plan to allow greater diversity and versatility in delivering its mandates. The unit plays a supporting role in consolidating the programs and activities of the three (3) divisions within the center.
The unit is divided into three (3) main sections, each with specific tasks as follows:
Information Communication & Technology
This section acts as the heart of the center, providing support and maintenance for IT infrastructures. It is also entrusted with ideating and catalyzing the digitalization efforts to introduce a more efficient and flexible working atmosphere to the center.
Consultation & Communication
This section acts as the focal point for coordinating public relations and external communications between the center and its networks, partners, stakeholders, and the public. Its roles include promoting, engaging, and facilitating the center’s outlook and collaborative efforts towards achieving its vision and mission.
Media
The media section is where knowledge and ideas are translated into meaningful shared materials. Its roles include managing SEAMEO SEN social media platforms, producing creative designs, and supporting the center’s visibility. Additionally, this section serves as an advocating arm for the center, creating awareness for disability inclusion and empowering accessibility towards learning materials through the adoption of its inclusive Open Educational Resources (iOER) initiatives.
